So,here I sit in CIBREO with a dear friend I met in a park downtown Florence many years ago.She too is an AMERICAN living abroad.From California I might add!She had an idea as we were chatting away…..why not create CONTESSA TOURS small groups of people chaperoned by me!At first I thought her idea silly but it’s still haunting me!Would anyone go?Could I leave my dear husband behind?Let me hear your thoughts on it!We would eat,shop,walk and experience Florence and the surrounding countryside through my eyes……..definately wouldnot be the normal tour!Perhaps, a little eating and a lot of walking.Or we can flip that one around to a lot of eating and a little bit of walking!Whatever, we do we will do with gusto and a lot of enthusiasum!That would be a pre-requisite.I just finished a book that I loved called ITALIAN JOY by CARLA COULSON.I would highly recommend that before heading off to the land of wine,food and family!She captured the whole essence of the ITALIAN culture in that book.She was lucky enough to live there as I did and experience it first hand.I believe the experience really changed her life for the better which was exactly what the experience did for me.Now,perhaps I feel the need to share some of those experiences with others…………..what do you think?Should a few and when I say a few I mean five of you plus me saunter over yonder come SPRING?
