May, has to be one of my favorite months!Spring has sprung and those visions I had in the dead of winter are starting to appear! Before I get to far into the garden I must tell you all about the dear ,dear, deer update. The Lindsay Museum kept her!All my ranting and raving and my high-pitched voice wailing should I come back and get her worked! To brief those who perhaps just jumped onboard at VINTAGE HEN HOUSE I found a very young deer in the middle of a four lane road……..I got her to the side where she waited patiently for her MAMA to appear, which never did happen so ,(she decided to go for another walk and find her MAMA……….this time down to the grocery store! As numerous people gawked , (so I was told )another call was made to the WILDLIFE SANCTUARY for assistance. They were NOT coming ,I closed up shop at 11:15 am and went to fetch her.A brief run about back into the busy road under a huge parked truck she did dive ;only to end up in the shrubbery hidden from view.Amazing how well they blend in even if you know they are there!I reached in and picked her up to her wails of wonderment of is this going to be okay??She did not fight me nor try to get out of my arms. She new she was safe and I felt confident about taking her home to the CASA where other four-legged creatures would greet with big eyes, wet noses and licks of affection and concern. I should have kept her but listen to that ITALIAN I MARRIED 27 years ago……….I suppose I did the right thing………….MAYBE!A cute ending to this story was when I told my 87 year old Mother she said,”Why didn’t you bring it to me! Why did you listen to him!”Sometimes, some often Mother knows BEST!

Oh my gosh Elizabeth, its a gorgeous wonderland, it’s unrecognisable from when I saw it – when was that? You must really prune back your roses in the winter to get them so bloomin lovely like that. I heard on the radio once that you can even mow over them. Stunning. And love what your MUm has to say, wise woman

As I am surrounded by grey dreary foggy days with no beautiful gardens in Hong Kong this week it is a delight to see your stunning spring garden, even if its only in photos. You have such green thumbs!!

Sooo beautiful! Would love to live in California, but here in Texas a house that is $250,000 would be a million or more in California. So, guess we’ll stay in this heat. LOL
Awesome!

Blooming and Blooming and Blooming!!! Delightful~! You are a visionary and your efforts have come to fruition in the form of all that beauty! What a riot of blooms! How fantastic! And the Little Deer? What a story! What will Lindsay Center do with her. Should we don our cat..ahem DEER burgular attire and go get her tonight??? You must be very satisfied to know she is alive and well and being cared for. Thank you for sharing your stories. One question: When is YOUR BOOK coming out???
