ARI SETH COHEN has created another book which is debuting in November of this year!

THE MAN BEHIND Advanced STYLE has photographed another book for our ENJOYMENT!

It will be called ADVANCED PETS.

THE PHOTOS will be of the OWNER and her or his BELOVED ANIMAL in their own surroundings.

The ARRIVAL DATE in BOOK SHOPS is November 12, 2024.

AS the photos of LA CONTESSA were done a few years ago……………..

Some of you will remember I am certain others maybe NOT!

I cannot access the ADVANCED STYLE PHOTOS at the moment due to tech difficulties here on the blog today.

In other NEWS around here I have been asked to wear my CAFTANS/KAFTANS on INSTAGRAM and give them a hashtag of #showusyourcaftan or the other spelling #showusyourkaftan.

That means SHOW US (YOU) IN YOUR CAFTAN by using these hashtags and we will create a Page of CAFTAN wearers.Always fun to see what others have found and how they accessorize THE LOOK!

That is it for today as I am having issues posting and writing here on the BLOG!

On instagram they(instagram) are deciding now who is a SPAM person and taking them OUT of your followers!

As I watched my followers tumble away DAILY for the last two months I was thinking it was my photos and content; maybe because I no longer have a PIG. I had changed my instagram name to CONTESSA AND HER CAFTANS!I found out you can TAP your FOLLOWERS and see at the top “FLAGGED FOR REVIEW.”These are the people they consider to be SPAM.They have taken them out of your FEED.So, no wonder YOUR PEEPS are not seeing YOUR POSTS!This is very disheartening as they have flagged MY FAMILY and FRIENDS and PEOPLE who have been following me for years!

SHAME ON YOU INSTAGRAM this is NOT YOUR AREA of EXPERTISE!!!

The other day, after I let them take over a thousand people away I discovered you could tell them a mistake had been made by tapping the three little dots beside each FOLLOWER under the SPAM LIST.

THAT FEATURE IS NO LONGER THERE for me to pick!

SO lesson learned DO NOT LET THEM PICK WHO FOLLOWS YOU!

YOU NEED TO GO ONE BY ONE AND SAVE YOUR FOLLOWERS!

MY RANT IS OVER FOR TODAY……………

This upcoming book sounds like a sweet coffee table perusal, LA CONTESSA. I wish you and Betty were in it. Your kaftans look lovely as per usual. I really like that white one on you. It’s got the sporty vibe and with that hat, it really makes a statement.

I checked my instagram and didn’t see any changes with my followers. It could be because I have so few. I’m not a ‘big’ account. 😛

I too am having blog problems and my instagram followers are also disappearing so thank you for the tip. I am having difficulty leaving comments on blogs and I think it must be something wrong my end. Let’s see if this works. Exciting about the book. x

The all-white is a new look for you, and a good one! You look wonderful in hats as well as caftans. How exciting that you are in Ari’s new book – that’s a reason to buy one. Thanks for the information on IG although except for two they were all nuisance men when I checked on mine.
Hope you get those pesky technical issues sorted , it is so frustrating.

Interesting about followers disappearing. Old truth, about men came to mind, You don’t pay attention to what a man says, you pay attention to what he does. Equally valuable to an organization, county, state, government, Church…. .

Need better pic of SHOES you’re wearing with the white Caftan.

Bought 6 Caftans this summer, my first ! Are YOU inspiration, OR WHAT ????? Guess what I did to ALL of them????? Cut them off; now short CAFTANS !!!!!! All by myself, with ridiculous cheap scissors kept in bedroom for cutting tags off new clothes. Misery quotient hi in humid hot middle rural GA. Short Caftans my weapon against it. Yes, told you all of this already, but worth the honor of rehash.

Will get them to seamstress when cool weather arrives. Fix my hacking at them.

More of your inspiration, Birdies, in mules and their classics, myriad colors, leather, suede, beaded. If I bought a style, bought it in 2 colors. Fun matching them with all the new CAFTANS. Birdies had major sale, less than 1/2 price, first time online with them, poof, took advantage. Caftans bought via Etsy, shipped from India, and each less than $30; with that fabulous India cotton and colors and patterns. COMFORT, COOL, PRETTY……………

You moved the MERCHANDISE with me sweet girl.

Need to call you and tell you all about HOT STUFF. How could she not be named HOT STUFF !

Saw something fabulous off front porch this morning. Shiny new Pearl colored pick up truck, with a white STANDARD POODLE, perfect grooming, perfect posture sitting upright, riding SHOTGUN with her driver. Odd how this simplicity a great LIFE MOMENT, merely bearing witness to BEAUTY & JOY & LOVE tooling down the road.

So cool about the Advanced Pets book! Can’t wait to see it! You and your parts are always stars!

Just checked my instagram followers… and I saw that Instagram had flagged two as spammers. I get many fake followers but I either block them or see that they often just disappear on their own.

What a hassle you went through, and that after losing your original account about 2 years ago!

I’ll be in California from Oct. 25th-Nov. 8th… Maybe we can meet up this time!

Well thanks for sharing that about IG. I had no clue. It is tiring to keep up with FB and IG and all their poop (to put it politely). They are dominating all social media and dictating everything and it isn’t pleasant at all.

Glad you still take the time to blog. I enjoy keeping up with your little adventures 🙂

Elizabeth you do have the best caftans, hat’s and shoes too I might add! You certainly are stylish. Love the idea of Advanced Pets, of course fabulous ladies have fabulous pets.
Too bad about Instagram, they have the controls and they use them, I don’t go to Instagram like a used to because I don’t see many posts of those that I am subscribed to. Also if I like one story or reel then I get flooded with more of the same to the point of being overwhelmed with that singular topic to the exclusion of other accounts that I followed. I have been using YouTube more but that content is also starting to get manipulated in a way that isn’t as interesting as the feed I used to get. Oh well, I guess I’ll turn back to my books and other interests. I always enjoy your blog though!

Instagram’s doing what??? I’ve lost 300 followers in the last month. I figured it was because I haven’t been on Instagram much this summer and a lot of followers are fickle… Have you entertained me lately? Some are those creepy guys who are four-star generals or brain surgeons who’d love to be your friend–I get rid of a lot of posers myself–but others are real followers I’m happy to have!! Hi Contessa. Your Tigre is the same coloring as my cat I had, Oscar. Oscar didn’t think he was a cat. I do miss him. Our new kitten has calmed down somewhat. It turns out she is anxious. We had to put a cat calm plug-in, and spray feelaway all over the place(expensive). She is on special(expensive) ‘calm’ food. And a diet – she got too fat comfort eating. Now she asks for a portion of her rations. I am also feeling slightly overwhelmed at the moment – but for different reasons. All the usual comfort tactics aren’t working – perhaps my two concussion I experienced this year are part of that?. Haven’t had my haircut since February since I’m nervous about letting anyone near my head. I’ve trimmed the bottom of my hair as needed. But now have a triangular hairdo that doesn’t suit me. Am thinking of wearing hats – or a helmet might be most practical given the concussions! I don’t do Instagram – so I was not aware of the problem you’re having with them. All the Best.

Hope Tigre is fitting in with Theo and Betty. Wish my Marmalade cat would let me pick him up. He cuddles next to me, but won’t let me touch certain areas of his body.

  If the account has a blue check beside it that deem’s it a Professional account but they PAY for that check and get better SERVICE supposedly!
  This is a version of AI going into your account and deciding by your posts and content if you are REAL OR NOT.

My followers diminish as well, I find it all baffling! One would imagine the followers would increase slightly if anything!
