I had a DREAM……….REALLY!

To take my  SONS to Paris for a week.Just the three of us!Why you ask?Because they both have Fall birthdays and because I consider this to be the last HURRAH before they head out into the world and would not be able to take a week vacation nor  would want too with their MOTHER and before their lives become full with responsibility. Like children, wives, work, house payments, animals, life in general…………..do you get my drift?Plus,I follow a blog about an AUSTRALIAN living in PARIS married to a gorgeous ITALIAN who is a photographer. She happens to do shoots on the streets of PARIS with your loved ones!Since, I had done black & white photos for the first twenty~one years of the Boys life for my husband for FATHER’S DAY each year I decided I needed just one more.A memory for me and the BOYS !I love how they describe me!”No one has a Mother like ours!”Well,we met CARLA COULSON in the LUXEMBERG GARDENS and instantly I liked her warmth and down to earth vibe!I already knew I liked her from her blog but this really sealed it for me!We would meet in four days at the Parisian apartment where she would bring VERO to do make up and hair for me!Sounds GRAND to me and of course I brought the gown to make a REAL statement! When in PAARRREEE as our taxi driver refered to his adopted country ….one must dress the part!I had no problem trotting down the 40 steps to the BOLOUNGERIE  across the street and walking fast by Carla as she snap snapped! Then we hailed a TAXI a MAXI TAXI in fact to take us to the CAFE Carla had scoped out in her daily doings. As we arrived the entire cafe was empty outside except for two woman who were sitting right smack where I needed to be with the SONS!So, what does this Contessa do…………she asks them to move over! They did so willingly, even spoke English!I think we made an impression five people with a rolling suitcase full of hair and make up accessories, a bag of chickens and an old garden pail and me looking like me they obliged.Once we had ordered coffees, drinks etc…….the action began.

Next stop Tullerie Gardens in front of the LOUVRE.These shots are priceless to me.As most of you know I owned the HEN HOUSE in LAFAYETTE for 12 years and have owned chickens for years, so what could be more appropriate then MOI feeding the babes in front of the LOUVRE!!!!!!These photos to be in another post……another day!

After those shots were taken we all marched over to the LOUVRE and entered through security with chickens ,pail and suitcase only to head direction FRENCH STATUE ROOM because as Carla said the light is good there! Now you can see for yourself from her shots……………..MY DREAM CAME TRUE!WHAT A DAY and what a MEMORY I have created.

Carla has many books out in fact a new book is coming out soon. Please look for her books if you have a passion for Italy or France they are definitely worth possessing. This CONTESSA is in possession of all of them.SHE WILL NOT SHARE OUTSIDE HER HOME!PRICELESS, to me…………….

I would like to thank Carla and Vero for all their hard work and time spent with us that day!It was a real JOY to meet both of you.You are always welcome here in my home and YOU must meet GIAMPIERO one day!

Carla has a blog called CARLA LOVES PHOTOGRAPHY.Even if you do not know how to use a camera her blog is worth following! Her story is amazing…………you can also find her on Facebook under Carla Loves Photography and I would imagine INSTAGRAM and Pinterest and Twitter although,I have not gotten to that level in cyber space yet!Her comment section is so much easier then mine do comment and give a shout out that this CONTESSA sent you over!

These shots were taken by my SONS watching Carla in action!

Swoon! This is the ultimate. You, your sons, the dress, the chickens, the settings, the photographs are the penultimate. Nothing can compare. I am speechless.

You have given a gift to your husband and everyone who sees these photos. Thank you. So glad we have found each other on the web.

I cherish that you share you findings with all.. not bad idea to have a photographer capture such beautiful ideas on film. I always have ideas that I have made into paintings but I think I will take one page from your book next I am in Paris & contact the talented Carla.

OOOOOH.MY.GOD….. so much utter wonderfulness…. I cannot believe that you pulled this off! This is absolutely the bestest I’ve ever, ever, ever seen! You are one gloriously gorgeous Contessa.
Found you thanks to following Corey’s blog – and I find two new soul sisters in your and Carla’s contributions. I feel blessed.
Shall now ‘enrol’ in a big hurry so that one of these days I can catch up with your ‘henhouse stories’ and more – but first I have to gasp again at those wonderful, wonderful shots of you and your beautiful sons; I can’t get over it that you were photographed with chickens in those locations – it’s jaw droppingly brilliant!
AND thanks to you we’ve had a first fully blown view of Corey’s appartment. Thank you for that too!
    Love, Kiki

What a wonderful day you and our daughter Carla must have had. I know how her mind and camera works. It gives her father and myself such warmth inside to always see the joy that she gives to others . Even though Carla is on the other side of the world , knowing she and Francesco are happy and the joy she gets from her work and friends that she makes brings her into our house each day on her blog.
You look amazing in your red coat. I could feel myself posing with you and your boys. Keep well and happy its people like you and Carla keep this world spinning.

You are completely brilliant to know the moment to capture!
