Thank you SO MUCH for inviting me to share La Zingara Designs on your Blog! You are truly one of the most giving and supportive souls I know. Let me know if you need anything else about this post. I am not able to create the links from this end, but I included my Instagram account name and my website. Here’s a little content about my small artisan business, including photos:
Hello Everyone! I am so excited and honored that La Contessa invited me to share my artisan creations, La Zingara Designs, here on her blog! Elizabeth has been such a true friend over the years to me!
There are quite a few hours of labor that go into the creation of each La Zingara piece. When I was first designing these pieces, I made the conscious choice to create pieces that will stand the test of time. I wanted, and still desire that these handcrafted items to be of heirloom quality and beauty. When you first touch the hand tooled leather of the crossbody straps in your hand, you can just feel the weight and artistry of something other than a mass produced thing.
I have created a line of one-of-a-kind Tapestry Handbags that are made with vintage and repurposed textiles. I strive for a Zero Waste collection that uses forgotten textiles that would otherwise end up in the landfills. I just love to treasure hunt in the backrooms of textile warehouses.
The handbags mix and match beautifully with my handcrafted, multi use, crossbody straps.
Each La Zingara piece is entirely made by hand!
So many ways to accessorize La Zingara with style.
When my son, Rafaello, and his friends decided they wanted these pieces, I knew that I had created something multi generational and that all people would love to have!
These two lovely ladies are Besties! While their favorite colors may be different, they both look amazing wearing their La Zingara pieces.
From crossbody, to wearing as a belt, to over the shoulder, La Zingara Crossbody Straps can be used many ways!
I’m happiest when I am creating something that is stylish, functional and beautiful! La Zingara translates from Italian. It means the Gypsy. Where La Zingara take You?
LA CONTESSA SAYS PRETTY NIFTY THAT BOTH SEXES CAN USE FOR EVERYDAY.
FOR SCHOOL OR BUSINESS!
YOUNG AND OLDER HUMANS WILL ADORE; PLUS THE STRAP CAN BE JUST A BELT!

NOW A BIT OF NEWS FROM ME!
I AM SLEEPING A LOT……….TOO MUCH to be honest.
DOING EXERCISES TWICE A DAY FOR THE “ATLAS” PRESCRIBED BY A PHYSICAL THERAPIST.
UPON MY SECOND VISIT HE ASKED ME MORE QUESTIONS. MY SYMPTOMS HE SAYS are VESTIBULAR. THERE IS A THERAPIST WHO SPECIALIZES IN THIS and IT IS CALLED VESTIBULAR THERAPY.
RIGHT THERE IN HIS OFFICE!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME; I THINK TO MYSELF AFTER ALMOST A DECADE OF SUFFERING AND GOING TO THREE DIFFERENT MEDICAL DOCS OVER THE YEARS TWO CARDIOLOGISTS AND THREE NEUROLOGISTS JUST WITHIN KAISER ITSELF. PLUS NUMEROUS OUTSIDE VISITS TO MD’S,HOMEOPATH’S,FUNCTIONAL DOCTOR,and ACUPUNCTURISTS……….
YOU NAME IT I’VE BEEN THERE!
EVEN A BREATHING GURU!
NO ONE HAS HIT UPON THIS IDEA!
YET A THIRTY SOMETHING KID (who grew up a few miles away from me) WITH MOST LIKELY LESS EDUCATION THAN THOSE OTHER DOCTORS ABOVE AND FOR SURE LESS EXPERIENCE HAS FIGURED ME OUT OR AT LEAST IS TRYING TO HELP ME FIGURE IT ALL OUT!
As I have stated before I SUFFER FROM:
1. MAC OR NON-TUBERCULOSIS BACTERIUM ~ SCARRING OF THE LUNGS
2.FOCAL SEIZURES A FORM OF EPILEPSY!
3.HEART FAILURE MORE COMMONLY KNOWN AS CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE.
SO, THE ATLAS THAT MY WONDERFUL CHIROPRACTOR SAW IN AN XRAY; 4 YEARS AGO IS STILL MANAGING TO SWING AROUND IN MY NECK AND CAUSE HAVOC.
IAM OFF TODAY TO SEE A VESTIBULAR THERAPIST and I am actually EXCITED!
WHY?
BECAUSE OF WHAT I READ!
80% OF THE PEOPLE get good results FROM THE FIRST AND ONLY VISIT!
WISH ME LUCK DEAR READERS……………I MAYBE TRAVELING THE WORLD SOON AND GOING OUT TO BOOK SIGNINGS AND VISITING FRIENDS FAR AWAY!
I CANNOT EVEN IMAGINE WHAT THAT WOULD BE LIKE……….
It’s been SIX YEARS SINCE I TRAVELED OVERSEAS!
A FEW WEEKS AGO WE ESCAPED UP NORTH TO A TOWN CALLED ARCATA…….
IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL DRIVE THROUGH THE REDWOODS AND ONLY TOOK 5 HOURS!
AT LEAST I WASNOT DRIVING NOR THE ITALIAN;I TEND TO BRAKE A LOT WHEN HE DRIVES!
WE WERE LOVINGLY DROPPED OFF AT THE FRONT PORCH INN BED & BREAKFAST GUEST HOUSES.
“LOCATED BEHIND THE REDWOOD CURTAIN IN THE VIBRANT CALIFORNIA COASTAL VILLAGE OF ARCATA,THE FRONT PORCH OFFERS BOUTIQUE LODGING AND DEEP RELAXATION WITH ONE OF A KIND HIDDEN BATH EXPERIENCE.”
BETWEEN THE DRIFTWOOD THAT WAS BEHIND EACH DOOR FOR TOWELS OR ROBES AND THE VESSEL ITS SELF FOR BATHING IT WAS HARD TO LEAVE!
DID YOU NOTE THE WALLS OF LIVING PLANTS?
WHERE CAN I MAKE THIS HAPPEN AT CASA CONTESSA?
THE SHADOWLINE night gowns have been mailed.Names were drawn and the people who WON were notified by EMAIL.
I don’t know which is more beautiful, Diana or her bags. What a stunningly gorgeous woman. This post is chock-full of information today, so much to process. I have high hopes for your vestibular therapy; what have you got to lose at this point? Also, I’m glad I scanned the other comments to learn that Theodore is back – thank God for that, I was worried. Poor baby. I hope he is feeling better soon. Your son’s piggy is so cute! You have a Grand Pig now! The forest getaway looks so inviting; I especially love that rounded doorway surrounded by river rocks and the door with the branch handle. At first, I thought this was something built for you on the Casa Estate by the talented Italian! Thank you for all of the beauty, joy, and sheer positive energy you put out there for all of us to share – your posts are a treat, and as I have said before, you continue to be an inspiration for us all. Bless you, and have a restful weekend.

Dear Judith,
Thank you so much for your beautiful message here. It’s been such great fun to be featured on our Contessa’ s Blog. I am truly overwhelmed by all of the love and support from lovely people like you.
La Zingara has been a passion in my heart for quite some time now. I always knew my artistic abilities would somehow come to light. I’m so appreciative that you like what you have seen! I was saying to a friend the other day that I do believe there is a La Zingara Handbag and Strap for just about everyone. Each piece will speak differently to each individual. They are each unique, just like us!
Thanks again!

Good morning Carilyn!
I knew when I was first pulling the textiles for your handbag that it was perfectly suited for YOU! I will never be able to recreate that one! The interior fabric of your bag is truly never to be found again. I’m the one thanking you for supporting and loving me!
For anyone reading this, on my Instagram page, I featured this handbag last January. It is the Winter’s Window with a beautiful “Audrey” embroidered panel found on the interior. And I do have enough of this exterior textile to make another!

That Diana is so talented. I adore her recipes and cooking and now son of a gun she’s an artistic director. Looking at her purses it brought back memories of when I had a purse similar to hers. Years ago and I have no idea where mine went but I loved it. I also love the creativity of her strapes. What a talent. So did you and The Italian take bathes together. We need to know. Love your traveling outfit. Did it get very wrinkled? Great colors I must say. I always look forward to and enjoy your posts. Who knows what you’re going to write about. I know it will always be colorful and delightful!
Hello Sandra,
You and I have been each other’s cheerleaders for awhile now! I’m still cooking and creating recipes, but I was inspired towards something more. La Zingara makes my imagination take flight every time I come across some forgotten back room in a textile warehouse or when I start seeing all the different components of the handbags and straps come together. Like I say, there is a La Zingara Handbag and Strap for just about everyone! Hope you are doing well! Thank you so much for your beautiful message here.

All the goings on… read through the comments, as always, and so happy to hear Theodore is back home, on meds, and resting on Disney bedding. That will guarantee his recovery : ) Loved the photos of your trip…what a magical forest B&B! I remember the Atlas was what Mother Nature’s Mountain Goddess (to that effect) diagnosed as the problem a long time ago… interesting it has come up again. But sounds like the post-treatment was uncomfortable. Your stamina and perseverance are legend… you do not give up. CANNOT WAIT to see photos of the new arrival to your casa… there is no doubt you will fall in love with at least one…maybe two : ) Knucklebumps Farm (near to where I live) often has piglet photos.. they are irresistible. The sanctuary founder nursed the emu Emmanuel back to life from near death from bird flu… she was interviewed on Jimmy Fallon from her twitter, Instagram posts. Speaking if irresistible, Diana’s bags and shoulder straps are just that! Love the fabrics… they are one-of-a-kind! Still no video, but one day it will be in your email…XO
Thank you so much for your kind words here! Irresistible! Why thank you! That certainly brings a big smile to my face. I truly appreciate that. I am very grateful that our Contessa invited me to share La Zingara with her followers. Creating communities like this are so important. We meet beautiful people who are loving and supportive. It truly is a magical experience.
Diana
What a full post my dear! How lovely to give dear Diana a beautiful platform to showcase her beautiful handmade designs! You are always to generous and supportive my friend!
I am glad to hear you are feeling more optimistic about your health and the possibility being able to travel abroad again!
Jeff and I are attending dear Andrea’s Celebration of life tomorrow in Laguna. I still find it hard to really accept she is no longer here.
All the best my dear! Sending you big hugs from SoCal!
Dear Tamera,
Thank you so much for sharing a moment here. You are so right when you say that Elizabeth opened up such a wonderful platform for me to share La Zingara Designs. In this always busy and bustling world, it is truly special when we can collaborate with our dear friends and share our insights, inspirations, and ups and downs. Thank you my beautiful friend, for all of your kindness and light.
Hi Elizabeth. I really hope that this new treatment helps; you deserve a break. Your time away was just what you needed and the forest bathing is so calming. Did it once. Diana’s bags are beautiful; you always find and know the most uniquely creative people like yourself. Hope Theodore recovers from his bladder issues. Lots of love from Ireland xx
Hello Hilda,
Thank you for your lovely comment this morning! I am so happy that our Contessa invited me to share my artisan pieces here on her blog. This is such a supportive and inspiring platform that she shares with us all! Have a a wonderful day ahead!
Diana
I follow Diana on IG. She is a very talented lady.
Hopefully your vestibular therapy worked. It would me nice if you could travel again.
Fingers crossed I will return to blogging in the coming days. I am excited about it again.
Are you getting another pig?? Marshmallow is so sweet. Take care xx
Hi Lorna,
I very much enjoyed your blog, so yes! Please start writing again! I adore your photos trips through Malta. You capture the beauty and essence of your surroundings so well. Thank you for always “liking” my posts. I look forward to seeing more posts from you soon.
Diana
I ADORE Diana and La Zingara Designs! My bag & strap is one of my most worn items in my closet and I always get complimented on it. So proud of how far Diana has come in her journey of being an artist XOXO
Hi there Arielle,
I know you are busy, busy these days keeping up with that beautiful baby boy of yours! That’s why I want to thank you so much for stopping by here to leave such a wonderful comment. I truly appreciate you! Send me some photos of you, Gianni and La Zingara pieces! He would be the first baby in my collection of La Zingara photos!
Diane’s bags and straps are very unique and versatile. What an accomplishment! And to help with zero waste is wonderful.
I hope your therapy appointment went well, LA CONTESSA. I love the pic of you in your dreamy closet.
Poor Theo. I hope he’s okay and returns to say goodbye at least. It’s hard to lose our pets!
Hi Lisa,
Thank you for your lovely comments here about La Zingara! It’s not always easy to get 100% Zero Waste, but I do adhere to there being minimal amounts of throwaway materials. With my most recent tapestry handbag, I was able to create something magical using just about 99% of the textile that was the backbone of the design. This is something that really gets my creative imagination flowing!
Hope you are having a wonderful day.
Diana
Hi Elizabeth!
Another wonderful post! What beautiful bags Diana creates, definitely going on my wish list, and she’s down her in San Diego too.
Your getaway to the magical lodge in Arcata looks so wonderful. I love it up that way, so far north, with all the redwoods, so very atmospheric, almost mystical. You literally got to “forest bathe”!
Wow, best of luck with your vestibular expert! I hope it will really help restore you so that you can do things again that you love and haven’t been able to. My husband’s new 30 year old podiatrist finally solved an ongoing serious foot issue earlier this year that had been going on for several years. At first I thought , 30 years old! But he really came through.
Oh, I do hope dear Theodore will find his way home, but I do know how kitties will seek solitude when it’s their time.
New pig news, can’t wait!
Ok, I’m weird too, so let’s be weird together, ha. Well, let’s call it unique!
Take care,
Brenda 🙂
Dear Brenda,
Thanks so much for your wonderful comment about the handbags I create. I actually set up my workspace in Las Vegas recently. I do however, travel back and forth to San Diego regularly. Let me know if you are interested in something you see and I’ll be certain to bring it on my next visit there. Hope you are having a wonderful day.
Diana
Oh, so much in one post…where do I begin?
I can see why you featured Diana and her beautiful bags–you both have such a wonderful sense of style and an appreciation for fine craftsmanship. I peeked at her blog, and it’s as fun and inspiring as yours.
Your trip to Arcadia sounds magical. I can imagine fairies living in that forest!
Sending healing thoughts to Theo…
Dear Pat,
Thank you very kindly for your lovely comment here about my handbags and blog. It has been and continues to be such a great artistic journey for me with La Zingara Designs! Every time I see a piece of clothing, I’m already styling it in my imagination with the next handbag I will create! Hope you are having a beautiful day.
Diana
Elizabeth, thank you for introducing us to Diana, another creatively talented woman – her artisan bags are lovely. I hope that your vestibular appointment is helpful. I admire how you work through life’s frustrations with honesty, persistence, grace and humor. Keep us posted.
IT WAS INTERESTING!
I WILL WRITE MORE ON THAT AT A LATER DATE……..
TRIED to do some of her exercises yesterday ruined my day!
SO there is a brief run down!
THANK YOU!

Traveling, so quick comment.
Diane Amatos’ purses are works of art. You know such talented people. I no longer use purses but will pass this on to granddaughters and daughter in law. They are cool enough to rock these.
Theodore may have cat version of kidney stone. They scream!
Hope your therapy is a winner.
Love those outdoor baths. Where can I put those?
Marshmallow you are a cutie! Cannot wait to see new Piggy in the Casa.
Thank you, as aways, for sharing upbeat and fun content.

Dear Dee,
Thanks so much for sharing and passing La Zingara to your family. I know that once my son and his friends saw these, they all wanted it! It was my little “Ah Ha”moment! I realized that these pieces had become timeless and multi generational all in a blink of the eye! I truly appreciate your lovely comment.
Diana
What a beautiful write up for these beautiful bags! I feel privileged to have seen La Zingara designs come to be where it is today and even more excited for where it is going! The straps and bags are so versatile and I love wearing them and showing them off! Of course the “Alexis” strap is my favorite but all of them are so beautiful! Every one should have a La Zingara design!!!
Hi there Sweet Alexis,
From the inception of the Bohemian Alexis Strap, you have believed in me! What a journey we are on! I’m excited to see what is coming up next! Love you to the Moon and Back.
Diana
I HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF YOU DOING THE DISHES AT HER HOME AFTER THAT FANTASTIC ITALIAN MEAL!
YOU THE CAFTAN/KIMONO DESIGNER and NOW LA ZINGARA HANDBAG WOMAN “IN GAMBA!”
I TRAVEL IN THE RIGHT CIRCLES!
LUCKY ME!

Dear Jennafer,
A lot of my inspiration has always come from watching others do what they do best. In the case of you, it has been such a sight to see your designs bloom, grow and reach new heights every single season.
I will always remember that you and I had our hands in the dough for the gnocchi, and you turned, looked at me and said, “it’s like playing in the dirt like when we’re kids”!
Love You Always,
Diana
Dear Elizabeth, I love how you manage to work through life’s trials & tribulations with style, grace, humor, and a bit of honest frustration yet more determination!
And I love that you choose friends to honor. Diana is certainly worthy of many accolades. Her work ethic, talent, dedication, craftsmanship , genuineness, eye for design, and artisan bags, are all over-the-moon wonderful. I’m so happy I met her & was able to purchase one of her creations. I’m thrilled you introduced her to your followers!
Dear Kathy,
You have encouraged me and appreciated my designs from almost the beginning! And the time you take to watch, comment on and share my work with others is truly amazing. I’m the one who is so appreciative that we not only met, but have developed such a wonderful connection through the Instagram world. Thank you for your truly beautiful comment here today.

You are an angel.
Thank you for your exuberance,

IT WENT WELL!More exercises to do and I did only TWO out of 8 this AM. I am to do THREE TIMES A DAY and they made me dizzy!I definitely have inner ear stuff going on!I had major headache most of the day but the good news is THEODORE was found and he is on medication!
XXX
THANK YOU!
Dear Candace,
Our Contessa is quite a remarkable woman and is able to demonstrate the epitome of what friendship is all about. The friendship I have with her transcends words. It is something that is a true reflection of her huge heart and unique personality. She definitely puts the sparkle in LIFE!!!
Thank you for your lovely comment.
Diana
Dear Contessa,
I’m so glad to be invited on your blog today. You have brought so many beautiful people together here on your posts and I am always happy to be a part of this interaction.
I am eagerly awaiting your announcement of your newest household member. And what a way to spend time relaxing! I’m next in those soaking tubs!
We will be designing your custom handle/strap later this week!
Thank you for your generous heart and kindness.
Diana XOX
I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT YOU COME UP WITH………..even those bamboo handles on a rectangle bag would work!
I have had a long day today!
HAIR IS GOOD had a cut and a nice BIRTHDAY LUNCH with a dear friend.
Home to hold THEODORE as he has an enlarged BLADDER.A long visit at the VET late this afternoon!
THANK GOD I do not have to cook tonight!
TO BED I GO SOON!
XOXO
Do you think he ingested some poison somewhere in the neighbourhood? The dilated pupils made me think of that. I just HOPE AND PRAY that he recovers!!!!
Your GETAWAY with your SWEET ITALIAN sounds ROMANTIC!! I JUST LOVE THE PHOTOS WITH BOTH OF YOU TOGETHER!!!!
I am STILL waiting to hear about your Vestibular appointment!! REALLY HOPE IT HELPED!!!!
I am also intrigued by your new addition to your family! It is a piggy?? I can ONLY IMAGINE its cuteness!!!!
Your amica is quite creative, TOO! The straps on her bags are the SHOWSTOPPERS in my opinion! Fine and Sturdy looking straps! I CAN SEE HER MAKING JUST BELTS LIKE THAT!!!! I Haven’t seen straps on bags like that in a LONG time! I had a tapestry bag that I made in Home Ec in grade 7 – the early 70’s, but no long strap – just the exact same wooden handles as in your friend’s designs. I took that bag EVERYWHERE.
Dear Fran,
Thank you very much for your lovely comments about the crossbody straps I design! I adore that description of yours: Showstoppers! These straps have a lot of versatility. They CAN BE used as belts, as well as over the shoulder and crossbody for handbags! I created these straps with functionality and beauty to give them a unique and distinct style. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts.
Diana
ALWAYS a possibility the poison but from the XRAY today at the VETS he has an enlarged BLADDER!He was also dehydrated so a few shots and he is LOCKED in THE BOYS ROOM………..in fact I think I will sleep with him tonight!I think he will PULL OUT OF THIS MESS!He is as LOVING as ever………and even PURRING!

Wow! So much to absorb on the blog today. First of all, I’m thrilled for you that you’re feeling well enough to travel. You must be over the moon. Now you have me worried about Theodore. Yes, cats often go off on their own when it’s their time. Marshmallow looks bigger than Banksy but love the Cheerio smile and the smiles on your face and the Italian’s. A weekend away… :)Now let’s talk about Diana’s bags. She’s so creative. I wish her continued success with them. xoxox, Brenda
Thank you very much for your beautiful words. This artistic expression of mine has developed over the years in many ways. I am so thrilled when one of my pieces lands in the hands and heart of someone who truly adores it!
NOT YET THE TRAVEL just saying if I continue on this path which today I had a BIG SET BACK………………I cannot jump into these exercises as they are requesting I have to go slower I have discovered!I do have INNER EAR VESTIBULAR PROBLEMS and they really knew very little about it until 10 years ago……..so bottom line they are still learning and the BIG WIG DOCTORS don’t know much about it I found out!Kind of like PHYSICAL THERAPY remember when it was POO-POOD?
If you are a person who gets car sick that is A GOOD THING!
I did learn that………..do you think I recall WHY?
NOPE but the brain, eyes and ears are all connected and car sickness means something is WORKING!
XOXO
I Love Diana’s beautiful and unique handbags! So many gorgeous textiles and details! Thank you for introducing us. The getaway spot in Arcata looks beautiful and so magical! I hope you find Theodore soon. Wishing you a successful and informative therapy visit too.
Dear Ginger,
I create these pieces using mostly repurposed and vintage textiles. I believe that they are truly unique, just like all of us! Somehow, there is a strap and tapestry handbag combination for everyone! Thank you for your beautiful message here today.
Love the bags…I might suggest photographing them, in addition to prints, against solid colors to show them to their best advantage. I’m a firm advocate of recycling fabric and here they are being used in a timeless manner….excellent! I’ll definitely take a look at her blog and subscribe.
Good luck with your new treatment…fingers crossed that this time something gives you some relief.
Dear Nena,
Thank you for your kind comment here today. I photograph all of these handbags and straps individually, as well, showcasing their individual features in detail. These photos can be found on my website in the Shop La Zingara page. Hope you are having a beautiful day.
Diana wows me with these beautiful bags! Color, texture and pattern mix is what brings life to the otherwise ordinary. I hope to include one of her pieces in my future…
Hello Andrea,
I’m overjoyed that you love my eye for the design of La Zingara handbags and straps. I will take this compliment of yours straight to my heart and keep it there. Thank you.
Had a tapestry purse in junior high, ca. 1973’ish. Loved it. LOVED. Vintage velvet with vintage tapestries sewn on. Bought at Foley’s on the Gulf Freeway, Houston, TX, not far from the Ellington AFB exit, we lived further down at the NASA 1 exit. (Hmm, remember all the IMPORTANT things.)
MOM/DAD now side/side buried beside Gulf Freeway on a beautiful BAYOU. Passed their cemetery my entire life, many times on the way to eat fresh seafood on Galveston Island, yes Guidos. Spoiled for life, eating seafood at Gaidos. Luckily, first spoiled, eating seafood at San Jacinto Inn.
Anyone else out there eat seafood from childhood, ca. 1960’s forward, at San Jacinto Inn? Now, those memories remind me of Victor/Victoria, a line Toddy had, “It’s a religious experience !”
For shrimp experts, will include the shrimp from KEMAH, TX. Best, sweetest SHRIMP of my life. It was the shrimp we ate at home, mom would buy the shrimp at the marina, from the boat Captains.
Inherited LLBean leather Boat Tote, ca. 1960’s, from much loved mother-in-law, ca. 1997. I think she inherited it from her mom, who I adored & loved too. Wildly SCUFFED ! Mother-in-law used the Boat TOTE during her years, MID-1980’S, in Photography School. Source of scuffing? There was a family lake house, boats etc…. Perhaps scuffing from both LOVED women? Hope So.
MIL became award winning photographer !
Must get TAPESTRY STRAP for that BOAT TOTE. INHERITED a large new leather tote from MOM. Strap missing. Mom had price tag in zippered pouch with every purse inherited. OMG. Who knew? Have kept those price tags in place.
God is amusing. So many purses, inherited, yet always use a basket, not purse. Huge collection of baskets, myriad shapes/sizes. My Best baskets have come from THRIFT STORES ! They have zero clue their pricing. One is 19th century !
Hope this has diverted you a bit Elizabeth. Will continue sending you the pics…..been out/about past couple days.
Thrilled you are getting better. A TRIP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Girl. MORE MORE MORE.
What great recollections you have about your loved collection of tapestry handbags, straps and totes! I grew up on the East Coast and those LLBean totes were (and still are) a mainstay for carrying everything from college textbooks to laundry! (I do collaborate for custom straps!) Hope you have a lovely day ahead!
“MOM HAD PRICE TAG IN EVERY PURSE!”
SO DID MY MOTHER!MUST HAVE BEEN A THING TO REMIND THEM HOW MUCH IT COST OR WHAT A STEAL THEY GOT FROM THE MARKDOWNS!
MY MOTHER WAS KNOWN FOR LEAVING TAGS ON GIFTS WANTING PEOPLE TO KNOW WHAT A “BARGIN” SHE HAD GOTTEN!MY SONS STILL CHUCKLE ABOUT THIS TODAY!
I ONLY USE BASKETS………HAVE FOR YEARS BUT NONE HAVE COME FROM THRIFT SHOPS WHICH I USE TO FREQUENT OFTEN!
YES! YOU HAVE MADE ME SMILE FROM THE START!
THANK YOU FOR THAT AND YOUR PHOTOS………KEEP THEM COMING!
BIG HUG,

I love my La Zingara purse. I get many compliments on it. It is beautifully made with love and care. It is the perfect size and so comfortable to carry. I am so grateful to have met Diana, she and her purses are amazing.
Good Morning Michelle! Thank you so much for your message here and for being such a wonderful customer of La Zingara Designs. You wear “The Trance” tapestry handbag perfectly, just like you!
Just a couple of comments (about La Zingara custom made handbags).
The two I have (the Leopoldo and the Millani Mystic Elephant) make individual statements on their own. Plus, they’re the PERFECT accessory to add a bit of unique panache to “complete a fashion tableau-!”.
Good morning Evie! Thanks so much for your beautiful comment here this morning. Your choices of tapestry handbags and strap are simply perfect for your personal style! I’m so impressed by the way you have styled them, on multiple occasions. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend to me!
I’m one of very lucky girls who
got to love and appreciate the beautiful and unique La Zingara bags: there truly is love and soul in every one of them! Just like Diana herself, these bags are as beautiful inside as they are outside. Its something I always wear with joy and pride – because it’s the only one in that fabric and accessories in the world, as unique as each one of us. And everyone of them is selected carefully with Diana’s artistic eyes, patiently crafted with her trained hands, the bags speak to me like a styled gypsy with a gentle smile and strong spirit of love and freedom.
Hello Lily,
You wear La Zingara pieces with such grace and style. I am the lucky one to have your beautiful and special heart in this world wearing my designs. Thank you my amazing friend!
Contessa,
Love your style !
Diana’s handbags and straps are amazing. I am always changing my straps , for different looks. Or possibly, because the straps are so comfortable, hands free is where I am at !
Colors that are most popular?
If black and white are not colors…
1) blue. 2) red. 3) green

The strap can be used on other bars as well . And it’s the perfect size cross body. On top of it being one of my most favorite bags , Diana is the most sweetest wonderful person . She is amazing to work with and another one of her stunning bags is on top of my want list (I want too many ) !! Thank you Diana !
