Never never never NEVER tired of seeing such elegant “objets d’art” – and I would have an impossible time picking among the chandeliers. (I love old with contemporary – and this looks like oh-so-much fun.

Dear Elizabeth,
You did a marvelous job of capturing the beauty of the world’s oldest flea market and one of my favorite places. ……Of course you had to bring something back from there !…… Like a pilgrimage to the holy land of antiques and all things fabulous and French. Going to start packing now …….Actually for Portland . But I can pretend for a few anyway……

Contessa,
I believe that for some of us, there is a chemical change in the body when we see chandeliers and rhinestones… my heart rate increases. My breathing is labored and it’s like fight or flight. We fight our wallet so we can fly away with the goods, I suppose.
These photos are so sumptuous … everyone… oddly, I got stuck on the bust of the Marie Antoinette (sp) or whomever she is … wearing pearls. I think I will go around the site again to review these with a second cup of coffee then take my Lisinopril!!!!! LOVE, love, love ea. frame.

Whew, I need to catch my breath here a minute…yes, I know…I live in France but Sharon really did take you to the best of the Best!
PS. When we had to sell our first house in Arles the only condition that was that they wanted all of the lighting…of course we agreed but it broke my heart…my chandeliers! I never have been able to replace them save for the wooden one in the hall…not the same…-
SO, happy to see you BACK and in COMMENT MODE!I agree SHARON took us to THE BEST SPOTS ONLY!
GUESS what? CHARLOTTE asked about me weeks after………….she was worried I wouldn’t make it to the end of the TRIP!This was the last stop and well I kept my tears in tack I was practicaly swooning as I just kept marching along!!!
I know I remember about your chandeliers…………..perhaps if you ever get to VISIT me I could pack up one for you to take home…….I am becoming a HOARDER of them…….how many can one person have in one room!!?
