I received this two days after closing HEN HOUSE.I felt I had to share because the photos and words…………are too swoon about!FM stands for FRENCH MOM, however she is an AUSTRALIAN living in PARIS married to a SOUTHERN ITALIAN…………are you getting the connection here!She is a photographer and left her world behind in AUSTRALIA to find a new life and a passion……..I do believe she found both in FLORENCE,ITALY!Her story is really really good and to top it off she has three books out to prove it!Her name is CARLA COULSON and if you love ITALY as much as I do you really should click here to buy her books……….

How did I find her you ask?Well,too many years ago I was in MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA visiting a dear dear friend and there on the sideboard  was a book on FRANCE by another AUSTRALIAN…….VICKI ARCHER who’s books are a must too if you adore picture books as I do!This book was photographed by CARLA…………so there the name stuck in my head.On my last trip to Florence I found a black & white postcard of MY CHURCH………..well, my church and MICHELANGELO’s church.You see I was married 27 years ago TODAY in SAN MINATO AL MONTE.That church above the city looking down on PIAZZALE MICHAELANGELO.My buddy MIC covered this church with mattresses during the war against PISA!BLESS HIM……….anyway off track………I found a postcard and well that name CARLA COULSON kept ringing in my ears…………..until I had that AHA moment!I think that’s the woman who did the photos for FRENCH ESSENCE!As soon as I was back state side I checked my book……sure enough same photographer!So, I do believe I sent an e-mail via Vicki to tell CARLA ,who I did not know and still do not know but know I will adore her when we meet,CAUSE I LOVE her blog and photos as well………Besides she always ends the post with a beautiful quote!Well, her kitty AVEDON………..was born in a boulangerie in PARIS and had a birthday this month. FM did a very clever post as AVEDON talking……..and well, here I was so taken with AVEDON and clearing out the HEN HOUSE of BOAS AND TUTU”S I found a bowl with a cat and it even said something about PARIS on the bottom!So, I sent it JUST BECAUSE……………..and look what happened!!!!!I MADE A BLOG FROM PARIS……………..!!!!!It has made my year!Enough of me and my words………go now and take in AVEDON in ACTION!
