Gosh, that house is utterly fabulous – so fitted into the rocks and the environment! you are so lucky! That photoshoot was glorious – I was totally intrigued how you did not wear eye make up for it….which I want to ask you about because mascara is something you will have to prize from my cold dying hand!!!

Oh I too love the headband and seeing you “roughing it” in the desert! Can you believe that Remi and I once sat back to back on the tiny rack on the back of a quad for an hour and a half each way through the French Amazon rainforest??? Sigh. So consider yourself lucky! 😉

Maybe…but I won’t breathe a peep until next month when I know for sure. I am too superstititous! And we were on our way to cover an illegal gold-mine for a story, so it wasn’t exactly a joy ride! 😮
Look at the back of Giampi’s red buggy – that is what I am talking about!

    Contessa,

I delighted in this vicarious ride though the desert terrain dotted with elegant cactus. I note the protective netting on the side of the dune buggy preventing you from taking a spill on to the dirt road as your vehicle followed your host and Italian hubby out into the desert wilds. What a lovely trip!

Yes, that netting I was told was for the branches and trees NOT TO GRAB HOLD!
I was strapped in with a tight seat belt!!!

Wow, what a trip you had! Looks like you really got into the spirit of it. I have never been but would love to visit. There is so much to see in our country that I wonder why I am always dreaming about visiting Europe. I need to explore much closer to home!
