THE FUNNY THING WAS I HAD SEEN WITHIN THE LAST FEW MONTHS AN ARTICLE IN A MAGAZINE THAT SHARED A ROOM WITH THESE TYPES OF PAINTINGS!

THIS WAS DONE BEFORE THE CAMERA WAS BORN!

A CERTAIN DECORATOR COLLECTED THE OLD ONES THAT WERE AT AUCTIONS OR AROUND IN ANTIQUE SHOPS.

I SAID AT THAT MOMENT.

“I WANT TO COLLECT THESE ROOM PAINTINGS” AND THEN ENTERS DIANE INTO MY LIFE.

FUNNY HOW A THOUGHT OR A FEELING CAN HAPPEN TO YOU IF YOU WANT IT ENOUGH!

I FIND HER DETAIL AMAZING!

She had me send a photo of the room, but first she scanned MY INSTAGRAM to tell me what she thought would make a GOOD PAINTING!

Once she had that she wanted close ups of each painting on the wall…..

A simple request I could do!

  OF COURSE I BEGGED THEM FOR PHOTOS THEY DIDNOT KNOW I WAS GOING TO POST!
  WE have all sizes here Cathy is 5’4” and DEE is 5’7” and I would say Penelope is close to that too or taller.
  I still think shorter women can wear especially these as they are basically CUSTOM MADE!

I think everything you touch turns to gold!!! The caftans are fabulous! I’m trying to decide between a tunic and a caftan! Your models make everything look beautiful as well!! And yes I will remember Laverne and Shirley one of my favorite shows!!

You were made for caftans and you look chic in all of these. I do love Juliet’s too. I have to say I am on the fence being a shorty. I rarely wear my long things. Maybe if I need another coverup the short could work. The colors and mongrams are beautiful! It’s so cool to have something like that- one of a kind just for you! Adore the painting of your kitchen and the detail with the chandelier is so pretty. I would have bought the stationery too. Does she do modern homes??
I am getting the same thing on my arms and it’s sun damage where the collagen is sapped. Using anything to improve the thickness of the collagen could help. The collagen is like a net and gets loose from sun and age. Possibly something like micro needling works, but I have yet to see people share before and after on arms. I am just wearing long sleeves more now!

Gorgeous caftans, congratulations. And my goodness your painting is amazing.
I notice the ageing in my legs more than my arms. Hate it. I think I probably need to to do weights. But needing and doing are two different things.
So I must not be that bothered. I have a sore shoulder and bothersome knee at the moment, so I just need them to get better and I will be happy. Hugs from Ireland. I

Fact 1: Your caftans are smashing. Congratulations on their success!
Fact 2: Your kitchen portrait is pretty divine and I think I might have recognised it from twenty paces.
Silly fact 1: Drop-down beds are called Laverne-&-Shirley-Beds in this household, ditto Laverne-&-Shirley-Apartments for those basement apartments with high windows onto the footpath, neither of which really exist in this country but, absurdly, they pop up in conversation from time-to-time.
Silly fact 2: The other morning I yelped in alarm in bed. Mr. P, thinking, “Is it a spider??”, anxiously enquires, “What is it?” I say, “There’s an old lady in our bed!” I had just seen my arm.

Congratulations! On the successful launch of your caftans! Juliet is simply angelic. Ageless Attitude paired the tunic perfectly. Easy breezy, like she seems to me (from earlier blog post). I ordered two caftans, and was so hoping they would come before my trip to Palm Beach! They did! The blue in the picture, and the gold…..I adore them beyond!! They came, I wore them almost every night out to the most fabulous restaurants!
I have ordered two more of those colors and two more! These will be my uniforms for the Spring and summer!

They look like a square on the hanger, and put them on, they are so so flattering!!

Everyone looks beautiful in their CONTESSA kaftans! I love the monogram. And indeed, I used to watch Laverne and Shirley after school. I could get a big L like Laverne had on all of her sweaters. Always the clever one E! I think the cream and white as a tunic is more my style?. Isn’t Diane a wonderful artist! I’m following her french travels now and cannot wait to be there, too. As to the skin, i am trying the “crepe corrector” creme by Gold Bond 2x daily. It doesn’t help I swim in a salt water pool!

I adore my striped Contessa Caftan and can’t wait to wear it in the warm summer months! The process was so easy (or so says my husband, who ordered it for me) and the fabric and sewing are beautiful. I might have to order another… By the way, I am 5’10” and ordered a large with extra length to make sure it was long enough (it is!). Thank you, Contessa!

I was not blessed with height so my body is more of a tree stump, but that blue or green is gorgeous. I do need to buy new clothes though I’ve gone from 239lbs to 180lbs so far with hopefully more to come. I sent this to my cousins I know they will love them. Juliet and Dee both look gorgeous in theirs. I am always amazed by the talent that some artists have. This picture of your kitchen close up and far away shows so much detail that it’s almost like being right in your kitchen!. PS I also have my mom’s arms! I hate it!

  Just wanted to chime in that the way the caftans are sewn, they accommodate all shapes and sizes beautifully. The linen is so soft and drapey that it flatters us all. : )

OMG! There I am! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my tunic!!! But the star of the show is your kitchen and you. Hands down. *don’t even get me started on how I look in the mirror and see….my MOTHER no less skin that has nowhere to go but down. I just wear long sleeves as much as possible. XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

    I just made my final confirmation with Trish for my caftan order. Between mid calf and ankle, and yes Elizabeth, I added the flourish of a French crest!
    I will share a pic as soon as I receive…
    As far as the crepey skin? Yes I see it too – moisturize with body butter is my best advice. Josie Maran has a beautiful one that is luscious and smells divine. That and SPF. Just another gift of living a long and healthy life ?

Contessa! What a thrill to open your post and find moi front and center … swanning around Snowberry’s gardens in my Contessa Caftan! To be honest I didn’t think a caftan was for me … but as usual, you were right, I was wrong. And the porcelain color … fabulous. I see that it was a very popular choice amongst your loyal followers. The two stripe fabrics are amazing too … no wonder they were gone in a flash. I adore the new monogram options … the Lavern and Shirley! Amazing! I also love the crown and French crest. Contessa Caftans are a hit. Trish is so talented and mine arrived wrapped so beautifully I almost didn’t want to open it. But tear into it I did. As for the skin thing, we’re all fighting this battle. Try Gold Bond’s crepe corrector. You can find it at local drug store. I’m not sure it works but I’m giving it a try and we’ll see. Better than doing nothing. Thrilled about the Contessa Caftan success … and collection number two! xo
