FASTEST YEAR EVER FOR ME!

I have GOOD NEWS!

My ATLAS on a scale of ONE to TEN is a ZERO POINT FIVE!

0.5. !!!

After two months of physical therapy I went back to my CHIROPRACTOR and had him FEEL AROUND!

Normally my ATLAS in my neck is right there under the skin sticking out!

This visit he had to “DIG” for it!That means the muscles are holding it in PLACE!

The exercises are working!

TOO BAD THE DOCTORS didNOT FIGURE THAT OUT;

I HAD TO COME UP WITH THE IDEA by myself!

Perhaps, my new name should be DOCTORESSA CONTESSA!

Keep SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS EVEN IF YOU FEEL LIKE GIVING UP!

THE JOY THAT NEWS BROUGHT ME WAS OVER THE MOON!

KEEP STRIVING FOR GOOD HEALTH AS THAT IS KEY TO YOU BEING YOU!

BUGSZY AND I DRESSED FOR THE OCTOBER FESTIVITIES!

So glad you have had some relief. That is why doctors are practicing and not really experts. We know our bodies better than anyone. Listen to your body and mind. I had a similar experience many years ago. Three years and seven doctors later proved my idea was right on the money. Just love your blog and hope to see more of it in the future.

Hi Elizabeth, I’m so glad to hear that your health is improving. That is wonderful the “kids” ( therodore Betty and Bugzy) get along so well. Hopefully, Bugzy will use the door both ways soon! Are used to live in the middle of a major Halloween Thorofare. We would give out 8-10 bags of candy a year. Now I live up in the hills and nobody comes by. I did buy a bag of my favorites- though-just in case!

You look wonderful no matter what you wear. I love the polka dot dress with the witch’s hat and I agree with you that a tulle skirt and silver boots will make the perfect Halloween outfit. Halloween is a newish introduction to Malta and I can never get excited about it.
Bugszy is looking fabulous. I am sure he loves living with you and The Italian.

The most glamorous witch of all and a very, very good one, too : ) So happy to hear about the Atlas…which holds us all up I gather…I know it has been a problem for years and it is so terrific the exercises worked… yay!!! This success tees you up for more to come….seriously, one good result is momentum and endorphins. Love the vintage Halloween photo, too! I’m going to scan a few wedding photos of the bide and her mother and will send soon… working on the wedding album now…250 photos!!
Halloween is a favorite time… one chapter in The Time Seekers is about All Hallows Eve in Dark Harbor, ME and in another chapter the children travel in back in time to a Salem Witch Trial. My husband has a witch in his family genealogy….she lived in Fairfield, CT and her name was Mercy Disbrow. I used her name for the fictional character being sentenced. AND I have the identical witch’s hat!! Have worn it to my office (actually made the work more fun : )

What a fun post, Contessa! You are indeed the fairest witch of all. I usually at least wear my witch hat, if not a costume, to hand out candy to the little goblins. Halloween is my favorite holiday of all. Our all-time high headcount for trick-or-treaters was 525 kids. They must get bussed into my neighborhood, which is known for good candy. Lots of houses are decorated this year; very festive!

So happy to hear about your health news. You are living proof that we should never give up. May things continue to improve for you. Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween, LA CONTESSA! You make a fabulous witch! I also have a ‘witch’ dress that I wear all year (except summer). While wearing it was one of the many times my sister asked me, “What are you wearing?” emphasis on the word wearing LOL. I guess she didn’t care for it. The leaves on the ground add fall ambience. Great news about your atlas. I hope you will continue to feel better and better. You always look spectacular!

Halloween has always been one of my favorite days, but I only recently started dressing up again. This year I will be Mortician Adams – I’m resurrecting a costume from a few years ago, but it’s a good one! Going to wander the downtown streets with all the other ghouls and goblins. I’m looking forward to it.

So very happy to hear your outstanding news on Atlas. Good for you for finding the cure. Doctors sometimes miss things when you are going through a bad chronic condition. It’s good that you stepped in to be your own advocate. I have been in the same boat before. It makes you wonder. As you well know the best doctors are the ones that listen and are investigative. They have a small window of time to spend with you, that creates challenges as well.
You and Bugszy look so great together, you coordinate perfectly. Love polka dots. All of your dress ups are great. The witches hat is a show stopper.
It’s nice that you are spreading joy in a time that our world has been looking sad with all that is taking place in Israel, Ukraine, and the violence in the United States. I pray for Peace.

Yes, where did this year go…and we had a very busy summer especially with the big 4-week music festival…the joys of being a B&B owner…so many funny and nice peopled came and stayed with us, no nasty ones this year…

It’s our big Golden Retriever Max’s birthday on the 31st October…he’ll be nine…hope he lives for a very long time to come…just best dog…

Golly gosh but that sequined kaftan is simply glorious especially for this time of year. You look magnificent.
I have To admit that Autumn is my favourite season on the year, even though here in the Lowveld we don’t actually have it, they do in places like Cape Town and Johannesburg. We here just have hot/cold or wet/dry. Right now we are extremely dry although rain is forecast for the next 4 days. It can’t get here soon enough as far as I am concerned.
Nothing beats a hat and your the correct accessories to compliment the “chapeau” but baring one of those really great accessories are the bees knees to bring out those beautiful smiles on passers-by.

Glad to hear things have improved healthwise for you. I have been told I have glaucoma in my right eye and have to take drops forever in both eyes. Am absolutely shocked by this, but this is 83. This generation of women look after themselves a lot better than previous ones. We ask more questions. Cheers ????

I’ve just been reading Ari Seth Cohen’s book, you are so right about putting on even just a hat or a do-da, ha, it really creates happiness. I’m going to work on that!
p.s. My dad went as a witch (mop for hair) and mom as a pumpkin for Halloween when she was 6 mos. pregnant with me. They always had fun with clothes!

    Hi again Elizabeth! I was reading the 2016 Ari Seth Cohen “Advanced Style- Older & Wiser” and just finished it up. I did look for you throughout and then just now I went to the last page to look again (the Acknowledgments) and I still can’t find your name there? I had a feeling you would/should be in the book, but I can’t find it. Is there another book besides this one and his earlier one? His book really inspired me, as you always do too, with both of us now at 63!

Such good news for you about your atlas! Keep up with those exercises because they are obviously heading you in the right direction. (No pun intended) 😉 I agree with you! Never give up!
When you posted that photo of you and Mr. Bugszy, I thought that was just too adorable for words. He must be such a good character to have with you around the house. I’m in love with him!
I’m working on putting together a little costume for next week. Let’s see if I can pull it together.
I love this time of year. Hope you continue to enjoy your progress with lots of laughter and always a good sense of humor!
