I describe my style as FUN! I love to express how I am feeling in the way I dress. From classic to dramatic, there is a time and place for every style in my wardrobe. Life is an adventure and so is my style!
WHAT INSPIRES YOUR SIGNATURE STYLE?
So much inspires my style. Travel, books, pinterest, people. I love to explore it all.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ACCESSORY?
My favorite accessory is ALL OF THEM!
LOL!
I do love jewelry, shoes and bags. (BAGS are my weakness!)
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE COLOR COMBINATIONS?
When you ask what is my favorite color combination I have to say I love so many. Color really makes me happy and as the years go by I love to try more combinations! Season plays a role in picking my current favorites which are pink and orange, blue and white, green and navy and red and navy. The classic black and white is fabulous ALWAYS!
DO YOU HAVE A SIGNATIURE PIECE THAT DEFINES YOUR STYLE?
A signature piece is my personal jewelry. When I wear these special pieces that have such sentimental feelings attached I feel strong, confident and loved.
WHAT ARE YOUR STYLE STRENGTHS?
My style strength is confidence.
It’s not scary to try anything for me.
If I don’t like it I just take it off!
DO YOU HAVE A STYLE MUSE?
There are so many muses who have influenced me over the years. First my mother, who had exquisite taste. She was immaculate in her dress. I am much different in that I am eclectic and she was very classic and ladylike. I often wonder what she would say to me about my ripped jeans! LOL.
Others whose style I love are Lynn Wyatt, Amal Clooney, Linda Fargo, Kate Middleton, Olivia Palermo, Jenna Lyons, Rachel Zoe, Franca Sozzani, Lyn Slater, Lauren Hutton and a blogger I truly loved and we lost her way too soon last year, Kyrzayda Rodriguez. Each has their own style and I love to try things from each of them.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE BEAUTY PRODUCTS, AND WHY CAN’T YOU LIVE WITHOUT THEM?
My favorite beauty items are Cetaphil cleanser and Clinique City Block Sunscreen. I try new products all the time but I am NEVER without these staples. I also love a hot bath and think a relaxed girl is a beautiful girl.
WHAT ADVISE DO YOU HAVE FOR WOMEN OVER 50?
Advice is always worth what you pay for it! But advice for women over 50, is to have as much fun as possible. BE HAPPY! This is not a dress rehearsal, this is it. Buy a new lipstick, play in your closet, dress up just for yourself, try a new restaurant, travel and fall in love with yourself and your life. Try something (anything) new.
DO YOU HAVE ANY STYLE RULES THAT YOU LIVE BY,OR DO YOU CHOOSE TO BREAK THE RULES?
I don’t have any style rules. I do what feels right for me.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONLINE OR BOUTIQUE SOURCES?
Favorite online and boutique sources run the gamut for me. From H&M to Net-a-Porter, it’s all a way to see something new and exciting. I often get inspiration and head to my closet to see what I can put together. More times than not, I’ve got something to put into a new look. (One of the blessings of getting older is so much is now vintage in my closet and I still love it) Of course a little shopping is always in order too (wink wink!)
DO YOU HAVE A PARTICULAR DIET OR EXERCISE REGIME THAT YOU FOLLOW?
As far as diet and exercise go, I’m going to be very real here. I have fallen badly off track. I started this month to get back to prioritizing this because I know it is so very important especially as the years go by to keep us vital and healthy! But friends, this is HARD!
I am walking 3 miles 5 times a week, eating cleaner (I love fresh veggies and fruit) , avoiding cocktails (not so easy) and starting back to gentle yoga. Slowly but surely I am determined to get healthier and fitter.
DO YOU HAVE ANY ANTI AGING FOODS AND OR SUPPLEMENTS THAT ARE YOUR GO TO’S?
I do take Vitamin D and for me green veggies make me feel great.
