Modern clinical studies do not detect serious side effects in the treatment of therapeutic doses, but it is always http://medimagery.com/buyambien/ necessary to remember about the possible appearance of these symptoms. In the prescription of Ambien may be noted daytime drowsiness. However, due to the good safety profile of Ambien, it is recommended as a “first line” drug in the treatment of chronic or newly diagnosed insomnia (in the absence of obvious contraindications in the patient).

THIS SHOULD BE AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE…….DO NOT RUSH IT!
HERE I AM BEING BOSSY ONCE AGAIN!
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
I would call it a restrained version of bohemian.
I like softness and flow, rather than structure but I do not pile on the accessories.
I am attracted to prints, especially florals as I love flowers, but they can be tricky and tilt matronly.
I like color and if I wear black, will Iikely accessorize with color or bling.
WHAT INSPIRES YOUR SIGNATURE STYLE?
I would say that freedom inspires my style.
I want to be free of confining clothes, shape wear, belts, heels, rules and stereotypes.
I want to be able to break into a jog or an impromptu dance, lie down on the floor with the grandchildren, or eat pasta with red sauce without undue consideration of what I am wearing.
I also want to mix patterns, wear an eccentric hat, and express my artistic side through clothing.
If I am feeling down, I will often practice clothing therapy and wear a favorite bright color or accessory.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ACCESSORY?
I feel quite naked without earrings and I often wear a long necklace that I think helps create the illusion of a longer neck.
I usually wear a hat when I go out to protect my light eyes and skin.
Sunnies too!
So all of the above!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE COLOR COMBINATIONS?
Especially now that I have stopped coloring my hair, I tend towards the cool colors that suit my coloring best: black, grey and navy ( or denim) for neutrals and fuchsia, turquoise, blues or my favorite purple for brights or accents.
The pastel versions of these colors that I used to wear ( along with warmer tones of beige and coral) now wash me out so I stick to the more saturated tones especially near my face.
If I am wearing black or grey, I often add fuchsia accents and I like royal blue combined with turquoise.
DO YOU HAVE A SIGNATURE PIECE THAT DEFINES YOUR STYLE?
Not one particular item, but butterflies are my personal symbol and I collect and often wear them in scarves, jewelry and prints.
WHAT ARE YOUR STYLE STRENGTHS?
Certainly my color sense and artistic eye.
I perceive new combinations easily and like to mix and match separates.
I follow fashion trends and incorporate the ones that work for me while leaving the rest.
My style has been quite consistent.
I look back at photos of myself from the 70’s or 80’s and don’t cringe.
I could happily wear most of those clothes minus the mini skirts today.
In recent years, I used and refined these skills while working as a volunteer fashion consultant at Bloom in San Rafael that gives personally curated two week wardrobes of quality donated clothes to those in need.
It was my great delight to show our clients how to accentuate their best features with color and cut and how to mix and match separates for a complete coordinated wardrobe capsule to fit their lifestyle, whether corporate or casual. I think my own wardrobe benefited in turn from working with clients on their wardrobe needs.
Also I am a good packer.
I can pack carry on only for three weeks in Europe with no problem.
DO YOU HAVE A STYLE MUSE?
I thought long and hard about this question.
I guess it would be my mother.
Not my first thought, because we had a difficult relationship and my style isn’t really like hers.
Nonetheless, I think she influenced me more than anyone else. First of all, she loved clothes and so do I.
For her as for me, they are a form of artistic expression.
She lived a much more formal life than I do and had a wardrobe full of glamorous ball gowns:
Givenchy, St. Laurent, Mary McFadden, Adolfo and Chanel were all well represented.
Unfortunately she was smaller than I am so not many were kept. Before dinner, she would change out of her day clothes, bathe, and put on a fabulous caftan or “at home” gown, the infinitely more sophisticated predecessor of today’s leisurewear.
This kind of relaxed glamour and femininity is something I relate to.
I wore one of her caftans to my son’s wedding.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE BEAUTY PRODUCTS AND WHY CAN YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT THEM?
You are too polite to ask but first let me say that I am not a big fan of Botox, fillers, etc. I have experimented with them a little but at this stage of the game, they are not worth the physical and pocketbook pain as the gain, if any, is minimal and transitory. But to each, their own in such matters.
For skincare, in the evening I wash with a gentle cream cleanser, Pacifica Seafoam, right now, and twice a week use exfoliation of some kind followed by night cream.
Currently I am using Drunk Elephant F Balm or Lala Retro Whipped Cream at night with an extra addition of their A- Passioni retinol cream a few times a week.
I also use GrandeLASH MD to keep some eyelashes onboard. Mornings, a quick splash of water is followed by a serum ( I am loving Mermaid skin by Tarte for the name(!) light scent and silky feel and then sunscreen.
My favorite new find in that department is a light tinted gel from Bare Minerals called “Complexion Rescue”, SPF 30.
Also I like the powder sunscreen wands for easy top offs during the day. I am currently using Mineral Fusion’s.
I spend a lot of time outside and have sun damage from my early unprotected years so I try to minimize new damage or anything more serious.
Make up: Bare Minerals powder foundation and cream concealer, a stick blush (L.A girl velvet or Trestique currently), L’Oreal Voluminous mascara, any eyeshadow set with mostly matte cool colors.
The only thing I couldn’t live without was eyebrow color as somewhere along this past year I completely lost my eyebrows. I always had to carry some around as every product I tried seemed to disappear by mid day, so I got my brows micro-bladed right before the shelter order. I need the second round to finish them up but already I have a little bit of brow always in place. As for lipstick, I am thinking it may go out of favor in favor of lip balms now that we are slipping masks on and off, but I am always on the lookout for cool raspberry/ mauve colors which are surprisingly hard to find. L’ Oreal‘s
“ At The Drop of a Matte” Is my current favorite.
My little make up tricks:
Use a flesh-toned pencil to line outside the lip line to define the lip and keep lipstick from bleeding. Also use it to fill in the lines at the side of the mouth or nose, then blend. Use a damp eyeliner brush to line your eyes with your eye shadow for a softer and long-lasting look. Use a base under eyeshadow and lipstick for truer color and less lines.
WHAT ADVISE DO YOU HAVE FOR WOMEN OVER 50?
My year of turning Fifty was a very hard year for me so this question brings up a lot of emotions.
I had an empty nest, my boyfriend broke up with me and both of my parents and one of my close friends died, all within a four-month period.
I think the truth is that over fifty, losses start to occur in almost everyone’s life, and that it is time to get serious about self care, health habits, financial discipline and life priorities.
Attitude is everything and focusing on the positive, on gratitude, saw me through to a very happy new stage of life.
I had divorced in my late 30’s and I met my second husband, Slim, in my late 50’s.
We got married in ‘13 and are enjoying a wonderful third act filled with travel, art, new studies and wonderful times with children and grandchildren.
I never expected to be this happy at this stage of the game and I feel blessed indeed.
To tell you the truth although I am 72 in calendar years, I feel about 35.
I try to learn new things, maintain a sense of humor and curiosity about life and other people, and to challenge myself gently to overcome perceived limitations.
Although I am an introvert by nature, my friends are really important to me and I try to cultivate those relationships. As we navigate the losses and challenges that come with age, a good support system is invaluable.
I had a hard time with menopause and although I tend to be a natural remedies kind of girl, they didn’t work for me and HRT for ten years or so made a huge positive difference for me.
So do what you gotta do.
DO YOU HAVE ANY STYLE RULES THAT YOU LIVE BY,OR DO YOU CHOOSE TO BREAK THE RULES?
If I buy something new, I had better love it because something I own will have to go.
No added hangers!
If wearing leggings, the tush must be covered.
No logos.
Nothing constricting or requiring special undergarments.
Quality fabrics, mostly natural. No polyester.
Do my best to keep clothes out of the landfill by buying wisely and recycling thoughtfully.
Never match shoes and purse or wear sets of jewelry.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONLINE AND OR BOUTIQUE SOURCES?
I have always liked shopping local boutiques more than mall or online brands and in the post Quarantine world they will need our support more than ever.
Here in Marin, I like Koze in Tiburon, and La Belle Fifi and New Threads in Corte Madera.
I also enjoy an expedition to Sonoma or Healdsburg which feature some lovely small shops.
I hope they survive the current closure.
For online or mall shopping, I sometimes buy Nic and Zoe ( at Nordstrom) , Sundance, Anthropologie and Johnny Was.
I also love vintage but find quality vintage wear is hard to come by these days.
DO YOU HAVE A PARTICULAR DIET OR EXERCISE REGIME THAT YOU FOLLOW?
My husband and I started our Whole Food Plant Based/ no oil way of eating about six years ago.
We are not always perfect but try to follow that protocol as much as we can.
We have both dropped weight and improved our health markers significantly as a result.
I find it important to mix up the exercise menu so as not to over stress any particular muscle group.
I have always loved dancing and I used to belly dance, but now go to NIA classes, a hybrid dance form that address body and spirit, plus I do Pilates, bike on our Peloton, walk and swim.
In our current shelter at home situation, my husband and I have devised a circuit training program involving weight/ resistance stations with cardio bursts in between that we do together to a rock and roll soundtrack!
I am also taking my usual dance and Pilates classes via Zoom. Regular lavender epsom salt baths, massages and a meditation practice are valuable adjuncts to my wellness program.
DO YOU HAVE ANY ANTI-AGING FOODS OR SUPPLEMENTS THAT ARE YOUR GO TO’S?
Our plant based diet is helpful for healthy aging and I supplement with B-12, D-3 and sometimes turmeric. I take no prescription medicines.
I add Kick Ass immune support drops in flu season or if I feel a cold coming on.

Lovely presentation of a very special and ageless spirit. Wonderful to find this, Penelope. I remember you mentioning to me awhile ago that you were writing something for a fashion blog. So very grateful that through this blog you will inspire so many others as you have inspired me. Loved your beauty tips and I too love mineral fusion powdered sunscreen. I am going to subscribe to this blog and cannot wait to encounter more simply elegant and authentic women who are other ageless spirits!!!!
I really enjoyed this interview with Penelope—and I was blown away to learn her age. She’s beautiful and I love her style, but I was drawn to her because of her answer about life after fifty. She conveys a sense of wisdom that comes from having gone through tough times and I so agree with her views about focusing on gratitude and having a positive perspective.
Thanks Elizabeth for introducing Penelope to your readers, I’m going to check out her beautiful artwork.
?? I left a detailed comment but it wasn’t accepted because the email was rejected? Enjoyed this interview with Penelope very much- especially learning about cosmetic/ skin care brands I’ve never seen. She has a lovely manner about her, a serene sense of who she is at this stage. And I do like to peek into Ageless Style when I can— I’m such a “plain jane” myself that seeing others with such panache is fun and very tempting— who knows? I may yet surprise myself with a tiger print caftan that was so marvelous on Penelope!
I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS COMPUTER TOLD YOU EMAIL REJECTED!!!
I THANK YOU FOR COMING BACK AND LETTING ME KNOW!
Well, I know YOU know where to find THAT TIGER PRINT or similar on the WEB!I think YOU would look stunning in a CAFTAN…….how tall are you?In my mind you are about 5’8”??
I know you are in FLORIDA where the COVID is running WILD!
STAY WELL AUNTY B STAY WELL!

So lovely…Penelope has a serenity that is tangible–in her words, her smile, and her art. I will peruse her shop… such a wonderful concept to offer her beautiful artwork in so many mediums! (And she is v. inspiring re exercise : ) Also thinking about the product called the Drunk Elephant–the name alone is unforgettable!! Such amazing women… love this series.
Her collection of butterfly jewelry and the butterfly crown on her bejeweled lady made me swoon…this is my new obsession. We have planted a butterfly garden with milkweed, nectar plants and the magical Dutchman’s Pipe Vine that has already blossomed (look up photos of the ‘calico pipevine’ flowers..) And we have a small enclosure for the monarchs–one day 9 emerged from their chrysalis’s and another 4 a few days later (and one this July 4th morning!!).. trying to help this magnificent and highly endangered butterfly. So I will now have to keep an eye peeled for bejeweled butterflies as inspired by Penelope (and will have a butterfly-inspired gown and crown in the sequel : ) XOXO
Thank you for tending to our beautiful butterflies! They are such amazing creatures and need our help. I look forward to seeing your butterfly finery. Sometimes I think I dress like a six year old in butterflies and rainbow colors, but grown up garb just does not always fill my cup of joy.!!!
Penelope is a treasure! I can identify with her on so many fronts. I love how stylish she is, how she takes her health so very seriously, and thoroughly inspires. Perfect choice for your series, Elizabeth!!
Thanks always for your visits to my humble blog. I need to do more fashion post—you ladies inspire me!
I think your friend has a beautiful style Elizabeth.
She looks so much younger than her 72 years.
Says a lot for a plant based diet!!!!
Cheers Bella
Neat xx

Another beauty here at ageless style! Thank you for sharing Penelope with us, La Contessa! She is gorgeous. Love your advice for exercise and skin care, Penelope. I love your kaftan, too. I also just began Nia dance classes last fall and I’m missing it dearly as it isn’t offered on Zoom…but I’m still enjoying my yoga, pilates classes on line. Your art is gorgeous! I’m also an artist 🙂 I’m heading over to follow you on Instagram.
You do get to meet such lovely people, so thanks for introducing them to us! My introverted self has never met so many people since you started on this series. I, too, should never have guessed Penelope was 72, she looks just gorgeous – mind you, that pic of her in the 80s tells us everything! Whilst I am perfectly contented in my life, can I say that I do covet her vintage beaded handbags and would break into her house if given the chance? What a collection!
I know life in America is rather more restricted than we’re experiencing in this part of the world, so I’m rejoicing for you that you had a Party to go to! Cindy is a good friend to kick off Birthday Month for you!
YES, I fear we are headed for another SHELTER IN PLACE!!!
Cindy, is such a GOOD PERSON!I was so excited to get out of my own house and head south for a couple of days!TO SEE FRIENDS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ONES LIFE!

Another wonderful woman who inspires us all. So talented and lovely. I agree with Penelope that self care is really important to all women to live a healthy and happy life. Seeing how happy she is and that she is feeling 35 at 72 gives us all so much to look forward to. Thank you Elizabeth. I love this series so very much!
XOXO, Kimberly
OH THANK YOU KIMBERLY I so enjoy THE HUNT of finding the women and then when I get their answers I am even MORE enthralled!
I think you can say WE WOMEN of a CERTAIN AGE are having FUN!

What a lovely, generous woman! I can feel her calmness as she speaks. She glows from inside out. Her detailed tips are much appreciated and need to look into some of them. I loved the no new hangers. I take out an item when I add new pieces. During this time our donation box has grown to three!
Penelope is a beautiful woman and since I just turned 71, I soaked up every bit of her color adjustments when she let her hair go grey. I haven’t had a cut or color since February and am going grey despite saying I would never do this. I was talking with my stylist about getting an appointment when San Antonio’s Covid numbers began soaring off the charts. Now the daily increase is exponential, and I don’t see a salon in my future. xoxox, B
A girlfriend who had scheduled her first haircut this week asked me when I would be having mine done and I replied “ Probably in a year or so!” Our numbers are soaring too so I applaud and support your caution.
Nice to meet you Penelope! Such a lovely woman with a softness and grace: your kindness is palpable. I feel that we have met before? You look familiar to me. The butterfly broach collection seems to represent you well.
Penelope, your journey is inspiring! I am always interested to learn about how we all see life from our individual perspectives. Somehow, there are always so many intersecting pathways. Your beauty shines brightly from within and your outward style suits you perfectly! I wish you health and happiness, ALWAYS!
Contessa, this is yet another magical woman that you have shared with us! Thank you.
Penelope sounds like a wonderful person inside and out….I love that she found happiness late in life and my goodness she sound busy with all of her exercising! I always love learning more about people….especially as I age. Friends are so very important later in life. Congrats Penelope on living your best life! And….thanks Elizabeth for sharing her with us! And….Happy Birthday:)
Lovely post Elizabeth! Thank you for sharing this vibrant and wonderful woman with your readers today!
Penelope you’ve got a great eye for colour and style!

How I would love to meet Penelope, Cindy and Elizabeth and enjoy your company. Such interesting women with wonderful outlooks on life and fascinating back stories. Can’t wait to get some recipes from your birthday lunch Elizabeth. Looks like collected dishes from Cindy.
Delightful post!
A great post about Penelope, who is a stylish lady with a great outlook on life. I am very impressed that she can manage with only carry on luggage for a 3 week trip to Europe. I would need that just for jewellery!
What a pleasure to get to know you, Penelope! I greatly enjoyed reading about your style rules. Yes to colorful and well made clothing that invite one to live authentically. I also appreciate your thoughts on self care and cultivating positive thinking. Your artwork has a wonderful exuberance that mirrors your own joy of life.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with us all.
Contessa, thank you for highlighting such a beautiful soul this month. (HEARTS)
Loved “meeting” Penelope! Beautiful and inspiring! What a zest for life and so creative! Appreciate her skin care and makeup recommendations too, thank you!
What an inspiring piece. I can tell you Penelope is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside .
I suddenly feel like putting on a caftan even if no one else can see me 🙂

Penelope is such a great lady to highlight!!! It touches me that she uses her gift to help women in need. Her “no added hangers” is great advice. Thank you, Elizabeth for the introduction.

YES, I should put that into “PLAY HERE!”
However, I have an expansion happening on the little walk in closet at the moment!
I may have MORE room to EXPAND!!!!!!!
HA!!!We will see if those INSPECTORS EVER SHOW UP!!

Oh yes, I learn so much from these posts and look forward to your features … Cindy’s too. Penelope is another talented, fascinating and stylish woman and it always just a tad more exciting for me when they live in our beautiful Bay Area. One of the really fun pieces of information in these features is beauty products … and off I go to google the products Penelope mentioned. Love the Drunk Elephant brand name … and they have quite a buzz going right now. Fun! xo
I just read about DRUNK ELEPHANT TOO for the first time!It is owned by a BIG cosmetic company name has slipped away………and I just read it YESTERDAY!But they were given the THUMBS UP!

Penelope, what a lovely lady. My goodness you sound like you have it all together. I love your exercise routines, your food commitment and your smart choice of colors. Then again as an artist you can see the colors that work on you. All you have to do is look in a mirror. I love that you share so much of your skin care routine. As Elizabeth knows I always want the details. It’s all in the details. Lovely read.
I adore Penelope and was so excited to see you had her on here. I’ve been following her for a long time and love her style. This is probably one of the best postS you’ve ever had as far as tips -skin care shopping and generally taking care of yourself. Love all the ideas Penelope!! You look fabulous. 72 is the new 42!! Again love your Ageless posts always!! Kim
Thank you, Kim. I will remember to think 42! Deepak Chopra taught me to always think of yourself as ten years younger than your calendar age so will just add another couple of decades and carry on.
Yes! I lap up both your choices and Cindys….I look forward to each month. I am always inspired. I am 73 and my husband of 53 years died this spring. So I am learning just who I am! A hard journey. Thank you for a little daily cheer!!
OH, Barbara I am SO SORRY!
If there is anything I can do for YOU like call and have a good chat I will do it!
THANK YOU for reading along………YOU have been here a long TIME!!!
BIG HUG,
XX
Good morning Barbara … I am sad to hear the news of your husbands passing, certainly not an easy thing to go thru. As you move forward into your new beginning, I do pray that you will explore with renewed excitement this time now, for you. I have just turned 65 and find myself on my own and learning just who I am as well. These women are giving my life strength to keep looking forward for the smiles and the fun and the laughter that is out there for each of us. Please keep yourself healthy and strong. Jayne
I can identify with Penelope on so many levels. I completely agree with her color suggestions that work with gray hair. I do not take any medications. I love supporting small boutiques but do enjoy Anthro, Johnny Was and Sundance. What a gorgeous lady inside and out. Thank you for showing us what 70 looks like! That will be my next milestone!
What a smile! She radiates an open and curious nature. Exactly the kind of woman I’d like to be in my next chapter. Her wall of beaded bags just knocked my socks off. She’s got it all going on!
