Other times they just stop you in YOUR TRACKS!

What would a photo be withOUT the GRAND DOG?

WITHOUT THE LONG GRAY BODY and TAIL.

THATS WHAT!

I had finished the HEART REHAB ten week course and didnot have much time to even think about MY BIRTHDAY,but I came up with a plan!I invited THREE friends one who I had NEVER met!I told them all to bring a salad and I would make the cake!So, the woman who I didnot KNOW was doing most of the work and I was worried the night before as I should have assigned types of salads………….BUT it all turned out just perfect!

As I am a total worry wart.I think that is a CANCER TRAIT?

The night before we went OUT TO DINNER something we seldom do and we invited our neighbors.

SO,WE WERE FOUR PEOPLE.

I walk into the restaraunt first and announce our arrival.

Hostess says I have your table of SIX READY IN THE GARDEN AREA!

I say SIX?But keep walking………

Turns out THE BEST GIFT OF ALL was the YOUNGEST SON with his BUDDY who lives right next door to him in the mountains!Those of you who know me will be able to visualize the SCREECH I MADE when I saw them!He is the owner of the grand dog!I did ask the ITALIAN if the SON was coming and he gave me an answer that made my heart sink.WHY DO I BELIEVE HIM STILL AFTER 40 years of marriage?HE GOT ME GOOD!

MRS. ESPRESSO I thought YOU and your hubby were joining then……….!

THE WHOLE RESTAURANT HEARD ME AND LOOKED, WHICH EMBARRASSES THE FAMILY NO END!You would think they would be use to it. by now!!!I am NOT CHANGING MY WAYS NOW AT 66!!!

Besides I CANNOT HELP MYSELF!

I noticed right away the two husbands had on the same colored shirts!

Those curtains open into THE GARDEN with big potted containers!

I LOVED IT!

I have wanted CURTAINS in the GARDEN FOR YEARS, but guess who SHOT THAT ONE DOWN?

MY NEW CAFTAN which I absolutely adore!By a company called MAISON MARIGOLD.It comes in light BLUE TOO!

My home made cake with SIX CANDLES and a NUMBER SIX CANDLE to represent MY YEARS ON THIS BURNING UP EARTH!As I type this Our dear friend DAVID is evacuating from his home in SOUTH WEST FRANCE!Madrid is a MESS and SICILY the whole island is on FIRE THERE!NEVER MIND CANADA has been BURNING FOR WEEKS AND WE ARENOT SENDNG HELP!!!!

Let’s not get our blood pressure going…………………

SALADS are making THEIR MOVE TOWARDS THE TABLE!

MY GIRLFRIEND JENNY who lives down the street from us.We found each other at my shop THE HEN HOUSE years ago.

Because she made a purchase and I actually LOOKED at her name on the card and said,”WOW we have the same last name!”Which lead to where DO YOU LIVE? Which lead to are you ready for this?

WE LIVE in the SAME TOWN!

She then says,”I married a REAL ITALIAN” and I exclaimed in MY SCREECH again SO DID I!

I told her she had to come for a glass of Prosecco or a coffee that late afternoon!SO THE BOYS could meet!

Come to find out later her husband lived down the hill from my husbands FAMILY in Tuscany!

JENNY and I are TWO PEAS OF THE SAME POD!

THE CAKE.I was singing here thats why the mouth is OPEN!

The roses are from MY GARDEN called BOLERO,White with a pale pink inside that eventually fades to white.VERY FRAGRANT from a rose created in 2003 by Meilland.

I had a wonderful day and that night the Italian and I ate leftover salad and hunkered down in front of the television.I was wiped OUT to be honest.But so overwhelmed with the cards and calls, and messages I received!Thank You for thinking of me!It is ALWAYS NICE TO HEAR FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS.AS YOU ALL KNOW!
